Professional and Subprofessional Eligibilities

Examinees who passed the CSE Professional Level are conferred the Career Service Professional Eligibility, which is a requirement for appointment to first and second level positions in the government covering professional, technical, scientific, and managerial positions and requires at least four years of college studies. The Career Service Professional Eligibility is also appropriate to first level positions.

On the other hand, CSE Subprofessional Level Eligibility shall be appropriate for appointment to first level positions such as clerical, trades, crafts, and custodial service positions requiring less than four years of college studies.

The CSC clarified that, apart from passing the CSE-PPT and obtaining the Professional or Subprofessional Eligibility, those interested to join the government service must also meet the education, experience, training, as well as other competency requirements of the positions.
